Foad Fadaghi is Telsyte’s managing director and principal analyst. He has over fifteen years experience reporting and analysing the technology industry.
Over many years, Foad has been a key insights partner for leading Australian and multinational companies. He is a strong presenter and public speaker with his research often quoted in the media. His experience crosses over into journalism where he was the former technology editor for BRW magazine. Foad was formerly a Jupiter Research analyst and managing editor of Jupitermedia.
Most recently Foad co-authored “Digital Nation”, a graphical book providing insights into technology adoption in Australia.
Steven Noble is Telsyte’s senior analyst specialising in ecommerce and digital marketing. Steven has 20 years of digital business experience. Steven was formerly a senior analyst with Forrester Research, the director of digital with Hill & Knowlton Australia, editor of Australian Macworld, and ebusiness editor of Marketing magazine. He has founded several startups including Testivate, his website testing business. He holds an MBA from UTS, a graduate certificate in professional writing from RMIT University, and a BA (Hons) in economic history and industrial relations from the University of Melbourne.
Rodney Gedda has 15 years’ experience in the IT industry as an analyst, editor, journalist and various new business creation roles. His analyst experience ranges from CIO and enterprise IT advisory to vendor and service provider marketing and content strategies. As Senior Analyst for Telsyte’s enterprise IT program Gedda covers cloud computing (IaaS), enterprise communications, mobility and digital workplace trends.
Gedda’s media career spans consumer titles like PC World and enterprise IT publications like Computerworld and CIO (deputy editor). Gedda was also instrumental in launching two business technology titles for IDG Communications in Australia – IT Marketer in 2003 and TechWorld (Editor) in 2008. He is an avid personal and professional blogger and has an engineering degree from the University of Sydney.
Shayum is an IT professional with 15 years’ industry experience. He has a passion for technology and has held leadership roles in some of the biggest names in the industry, including JD Edwards, Oracle and Microsoft before becoming an industry analyst with IDC where he produced the first comprehensive study of big data adoption in the Australian market.
Shayum also has a strong background in sales and marketing and a deep understanding of organisational challenges, including drivers for technology adoption at different levels in an organisation and the impact on the organisation’s social and economic outlook.
Alvin joined Telsyte in 2009 after completing his B.Eng. (Electrical) at the University of New South Wales. Alvin is the co-author of Telsyte’s Mobility research program and has been involved in a wide variety of consulting engagements including studies into mobile QoS, data centres, mobile network assessments and a study into the feasibility of an international sub sea cable facility in South East Queensland.
Alvin’s interests are in emerging technologies, mobility and devices. He has also spent time as IT specialist for a Asus certified service provider. Apart from his involvement in various consulting projects, Alvin is actively tracking developments in the telecommunications industry and regularly provides insights into mobility trends.
Gary Tsang is Telsyte’s Consulting Manager and an experienced analyst on the digital economy and telecommunications. He was formerly with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global tier-1 management consultancy, as a Senior Analyst in technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT). During his time with BCG, Gary has been involved in a number of high profile projects in the areas of strategy and transformation.
Prior to joining BCG, Gary was Senior Analyst at Telsyte, leading the Enterprise Technologies research area as well as the execution of consulting engagements.
He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of New South Wales, and is in the final stages of completing a MBA at the University of Technology Sydney.
Stuart Wall is an analyst at Telsyte who is responsible for research and insights in the emerging technology areas of interactive games, digital consumer, and post-pc.
Prior to Telsyte, Stuart worked as a software and web developer whilst completing his studies in Biomedical Engineering and Tech at The University of Sydney.
